The first course of treatment usually involves taking 50 mg (one tablet) a day for five days. If no ovulation has occurred after the first course, usually a second course of 100 mg (two 50 mg tablets given as a single daily dose) for five days is given.
Depending on the success of the treatment your doctor will determine the maximum number of treatment cycles that can be administered. The maximum number of subsequent cycles of treatment will usually be between three and six cycles of Serophene treatment. This will depend on whether treatment induces ovulation and will be determined for you by your doctor.
Serophene Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Serophene, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have a history of liver disease;
you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant;
you have ovarian cysts, with the exception of polycystic ovary.
